tensioner is pulled. car only give one click but wont start. what is wrong?

Use a socket to see if the engine will rotate by hand. enginge rotates by hand. so what else can be wrong? That means you have an electrical issue in the cranking circuit that has to be troubleshooted by following a wiring diagram. would i be following the starter/charging diagram to troubleshoot the problem. If it's published as a combination diagram, yes try to start in neutral.do the reverse lites work?check you battery connections.check the voltage at the starter whyll cranking.then check for start signal at the ingition switch whyll cranking.its mounted on top of the lower steering column.ty for using 2carpros
